The Project
S2N is providing preconstruction, quality control, and implementation services for the National Air and Space Museum Revitalization project in Washington, DC.
The603,700-square-footNational Air and Space Museum is currently undergoing a major renovation which includes replacing the exterior stone façade and glass curtain wall as well as adding an iconic tensile roof entrance canopy. The museum’s gallery and presentation spaces are also undergoing significant renovations.
S2N is implementing the upgraded audiovisual, overhead paging, cellular distributed antenna, and truck radio systems as well as electronic security systems such as access control and closed-circuit television. In addition to implementing a variety of new systems in the museum, the project team has identified existing technology systems to preserve and will provide quality control services to ensure a cohesive total technology package throughout the phased construction schedule.
